Reinforced Curbs

We are being asked more frequently now to add Rebar, Steel Cable and fiber reinforcement to our curbs.

While these additional materials can add some strength to concrete, they also rapidly raise the price of curbs, Over the long term these tactics can help keep the curbs together for much longer in high traffic areas that are prone to abuse but they are only worth the extra expense if necessary!

In short, curbs do not require rebar unless the curb is load-bearing which is very rare.

Another UPGRADE available to our customers is braided cable. We recommend cable in areas where there are a lot of spruce or poplar trees that tend to grow roots at the surface which can disrupt the curbing. While this approach can cost a few dollars extra per foot, the cost is justified by the long life and resistance to separation regardless of the situation above or below the curb.

The revitalized Art Gallery is set to redefine the cultural landscape of Toronto, serving as a nexus of artistic expression, community engagement, and architectural marvel. The expansion and renovation project pay homage to the Art Gallery’s rich history while embracing the future, ensuring that the gallery remains a beacon of inspiration.

Retaining landscape elements takes strength

Environmental impacts can cause stretching and lift around curbs, by adding additional materials we are able to negate these effects.

Added Strength is available

While our regular mixtures are very durable, we area always happy to increase the strength with fiber, Rebar, Industrial shapes and Wire Cables to ensure your curbs last through the highest levels of abuse.

Synthetic Fiber

reinforcement aims to reduce project costs by shortening the construction time while also extending the life of your concrete application.

Rebar

By laying out firm rebar we are able to setup strong inner matrixes that hold the mix together and prevent cracking

Larger more durable molds

Smaller curbs are for smaller machines, if you have larger trucks and heavy machines moving on your property let us know.

Cable Reinforcement

Using cable in the mix we can still get sweeping curves and natural flowing landscapes while keeping curbs together for years to come
